Re: ND vs IU Tonight
Purdue does have the NIL budget to get top notch players to compete in upper echelon in B1G. Until that is fixed, Purdue will remain a feeder program to other schools. Think of them like a minor league or a D league team. Unfortunately, it is the way it is now FBS college football.

Re: New matchups next year?
It will be Illiana Christian. It’s already been announced they are joining the conference next year but no football program yet. It is believed that they will start football program very soon.

Re: New matchups next year?
What I’ve heard is that Valpo and Chatard are off the schedule and FW Bishop Luers on in Week 2 and still working on Week 7 matchup. I would be very surprised if it was Cathedral although trying to find a week 7 opponent limits your choices due to most team in middle of conference play. When Hanover...

Re: RSN All-Area SNUBS
Most of the time these selections are stat driven. Since three of your snubs are from CP, it does not help that CP does not post their stats on MaxPreps like the vast majority of the schools in the state. I don’t understand why Buzea does not do it??

Re: New Postseason Format Proposal
I believe Carmel is about to make the turn around as they have hired Kevin Wright in return as HFC. Since we are spitballing here, let’s take your open division to start then offer other programs the ability to opt in but then let those programs that are in open division openly, legally recruit. Or ...

Re: New Postseason Format Proposal
There really no easy non controversial format and appreciate your thinking. Also, I think LC is an anomaly. Almost all of those schools on your list has had some recent success. LC has not. Different topic. This issue is the number of games those 6A teams get to play in a season. Already reduced and...

Re: New Postseason Format Proposal
I still think 6A needs to be addressed. The spread between largest Carmel (5200) and smallest Jeffersonville (2140) is massive. This does not include Cathedral and Snider due to success factor. The spread between the other classes excluding success factor teams is still large but not nearly as large...

Re: Slow Times
Yes very slow this time of year. After season conclusion, topics usually consist of coaching changes, next season team projections, college commitments, high school transfers, post season honors.

Re: New Postseason Format Proposal
So essentially taking the largest 32 teams in 1A and bumping them up to 2A and continuing the bumping of 32 teams in all classes through 5A. It appears the only local schools impacted by that are Andrean to 3A and Hobart to 5A. Every other local school stays where they are currently. I’m assuming su...
