I'm taking Warsaw. This is the time of the year Merrillville folds up their tent and goes home for the season.

Brutal night for the Region. Andrean let the Amish drive across the state and beat them at home. Merrillville once again not nearly as good as Parkhurst thinks. He should probably stop running his mouth guaranteeing Pirate State Titles on Facebook. A large dose of reality for Crown Point. Stop scheduling Lowell and pickup someone with a pulse in Week 2 as well. The Duneland will never prepair the Dogs for what they'll see when they face truly elite Central Indiana teams. Westfield wasn't in that category last year. Ben Davis was. Westfield this year is. As evident with Carroll this year, scheduling 2 Central Indiana teams in OOC won't guarantee Tourney success, but at least it's a start for Crown Point. Their lines were completely manhandled tonight. Ellis had 6 yards rushing at the half. Don't know where he finished.

last year i think westfield might have taken crown point lightly. once again merrillville choked up and went conservative. I'll wait to see what warsaw does in the finals. if they get blown out, I'm back on merrillville a$$.

Sooner or later Merrillville will win a semi state game

Andrean getting beat at home was shocking, equally as shocking (but not really because they do it every year) is Merrillville losing to Warsaw. Don't get me wrong, Adams Central is a helluva program as evidenced with 4 straight state title appearances but Andrean HAD to have more firepower, right? Just shocking to me they couldn't pull it off. Admittedly, I watched the least amount of the Andrean game of all 3 so someone may have to fill me on the issues there. Merrillville however... No excuse for how they couldn't move the ball offensively and how their front 7 got absolutely manhandled by the Warsaw O-Line. I KNOW Bart Ball is NO JOKE but the size, speed, and athleticism of Merrillville up front should have been a NIGHTMARE for Warsaw, instead, they achieved their dreams at the Pirate's expense.

I was very curious to see how CP stacked up this year. I knew Westfield/ Brownsburg were the top dawgs this year based on how things were shaking out in or near Indy and I thought that may bode well for the Bulldogs. Unfortunately for CP, they still aren't quite there, yet. The most shocking and probably disheartening thing to see was the domination up front by the Shamrocks. Definitely not something I saw coming especially after the way CP played up front a year ago and all this season. Everyone thought the Secondary would be CP's demise and not many would argue with that assessment, but they didn't do a bad job. I never would've thought the trenches were gonna be where they came up short but that's exactly what happened.

Jimbo's DAC Power Rankings
1. Crown Point 12-0 (7-0)
2. Merrillville 11-1 (6-1)
3. Valpo 8-4 (5-2)
4. Chesterton 6-5 (3-4)
5. Portage 4-6 (2-5)
6. Michigan City 3-7 (3-4)
7. Lake Central 3-7 (2-5)
8. LaPorte 0-10 (0-7)

DAC Semi-State Championship Predictions
Crown Point 24 Westfield 17
Merrillville 34 Warsaw 24

Week 13 Predictions
Crown Point 31 Fort Wayne Carroll 17 - Pretty close to spot on here. Crown Point gave up a few scores and had a little trouble slowing down the air attack at times. But they got themselves a late pick 6 and did nice job defending the pass overall. I think CP is ready to head to Lucas Oil, again, with a much better chance to win it.
Valparaiso 21 Merrillville 20 - Obviously a wild prediction. Figured if the Pirates choked, it would be here. I think the Pirates are headed to Lucas Oil...
1A - North Judson 42 Taylor 14 - No way would I have predicted 70-6...
2A - Andrean 17 Lafayette Central Catholic 13 - The Niners could've won this one by 17+ but instead they wanted to make me look really smart. Lol
3A - Garrett 27 Knox 21 - WHAT A GAME! 1 Point victory for the Railroaders over the legendary Russ Radtke.
4A - Mishawaka 28 New Prairie 13 - I had the margin of victory almost perfect. Lol Mishawaka moves on to face East Noble with a crack at Lucas Oil.

Jimbo's Other Post Season Picks: 4-0
Jimbo's DAC Post Season Record: 8-2
Jimbo's DAC Regular Season Record: 38-6

Other North Semi-State Predictions for Friday Night
1A - North Judson 42 South Adams 7
2A - Andrean 27 Adams Central 13
3A - Garrett 27 Fort Wayne Luers 20
4A - Mishawaka 28 East Noble 27
Crown Point 24 Westfield 17 - I was hopeful. A hopeful Northern soul who thought the DAC Super Power was now a State Super Power. I was wrong... Like I am on most Sundays watching that awful excuse of a football organization in Chicago. Hope = Let down. Lol
Merrillville 34 Warsaw 24 - MAN! Did the Pirates disappoint OR WHAT?!?! I thought this was FINALLY the year, I should've known better... This L is on me...

As for the "others":
1A - North Judson 42 South Adams 7 - Winner winner. North Judson ROLLS again and this time, they're headed to Lucas Oil...
2A - Andrean 27 Adams Central 13 - Andrean going down was a bit of a shocker to me. Andrean, I thought, had all the firepower necessary to get to Lucas Oil but the Flying Jets had other ideas.
3A - Garrett 27 Fort Wayne Luers 20 - The Catholics in Fort Wayne proved me wrong and did so in dominant fashion (yes, I know it was 28-14, look deeper).
4A - Mishawaka 28 East Noble 27 - Nearly as close as I predicted even if the score was a 5 point differential. Mishawaka had a chance to win it late, but didn't.

Jimbo's Final Standings
Jimbo's Other Post Season Picks: 5-3
Jimbo's DAC Post Season Record: 8-4
Jimbo's DAC Regular Season Record: 38-6
