Would have to think Hudak would be in the mix if he wants to be.

I think so… my sources say you are on point.
Come on down to El Monte Slim's (Wheeler's best kept secret)

Who is the next to resign?
Re: Lowell Head Coaching Opening
Best question of the thread. Coaches are hanging it up rapidly in NWI. I know some folks think it's proper etiquette not to discuss people based on pure speculation, although I do think if it's declared as pure speculation it can create conversation which is what a message board is for.
If I HAD TO pick 3 potential resignation candidates (again PURE SPECULATION and not being used to stir any pots or break any hearts) to happen next they would be...
1. Mark Peterson - Chesterton Trojans (Approaching retirement age, I think? Seems logical as a choice for a resignation next).
2. Austin Epple - LaPorte Slicers (Just don't see any coach wanting to continue to struggle to win a game each year. I imagine coach Epple will say enough is enough at some point).
3. Roy Richards - Portage Indians (Portage is a revolving door job it seems. I don't anticipate this happening during this offseason but I wouldn't be surprised given Portage's track record).
Bonus: Corey Bailey - East Chicago Cardinals (Same reasoning as Austin Epple).

Re: Lowell Head Coaching Opening
I would be really sad to see Richards step down at Portage. I am hopeful he can continue building something there.
But I also understand things in this current culture are really hard. So it would not really surprise me to see any coach step down.
The days of seeing guys stay at a place for the long term are sadly coming to an end and that is going to greatly impact the level of football we see around the area.

Agreed on all accounts, especially the last paragraph, unfortunately.BallinFreak wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 4:05 pmI would be really sad to see Richards step down at Portage. I am hopeful he can continue building something there.
