New Coach at Portage?

Terry Chesovich is the new coach. Has been the defensive coordinator for Portage for last few years. IMO not the greatest hire, but it makes sense. Bringing in a coach from out of the school would of been a very tall order. Good luck to coach Chesovich and I hope he can bring a winning program back to the program. I know we are building a solid feeder program in the pop warner divisions. Have a very good junior and sophomore class. No reason not to have a winning team within 2 years.

Terry Chestovich is Darren Rodriguez 2.0 and is probably the worst case scenario.He knows the kids but is this a long term solution or just a bandade? Are they going to be looking for a new coach in a year or two again? Portage is 5-15 the last two years and have scored 7pts or less NINE times.

Not impressed at all. Definitely seems like a bandaid move. But they were in a tough spot.

It sounds like Wally McCormick, Eric Schreiber and his son are assistants under Chestovich. They were on Radtke's staff but didn't leave with him when he bolted for Knox
