Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
Just handing it over to Eric Schreiber seems like low-hanging fruit. I am sure he is a good coach, but being 8-9 in 2 seasons at West Side and coordinating a underachieving defense the last couple of years hardly is a sexy pick for the Brickie faithful and could get ugly if things so south.
Seems like there would be several other more qualified candidates.

Close but no cigar... neither fills the bill.
Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
Fills what bill? Region Don says he think there's more qualified candidates. You asked him to name one and he actually named two. Regardless if either of those guys wants the job or is going to be considered, are you saying they are less qualified then Schreiber Jr?
Parker has stated in the past that Hanover is a "destination" job. But if he applies or expresses interest, doesn't Hobart have to consider him??
Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
Consider them, yes give them the position? They don't fit the profile.

Re: Hobart Looking for Next Coach
This makes zero sense. Why would you waste everyone's time by considering a candidate if you have no intention of hiring them? If Schreiber is the guy, just hire him. Is the job posted or going to be posted? I'm all about hiring from within/loyalty/culture, etc. but if Hobart's hiring process is just window dressing than it's unprofessional IMO.
Edit: The position is posted on the IFCA jobs board

From what I understand he was hand picked to come for the position that’s why he left westside for Hobart… but we will see.Region Don wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 1:22 pmJust handing it over to Eric Schreiber seems like low-hanging fruit.
