South Central Leaving the GSSC

Jim Peters of JP Preps reports that South Central will leave the Greater South Shore Conference in football for the Hoosier North Athletic Conference in either 2024 or 2025. The Satellites, as expected, will remain in the Porter County Conference in all other sports.
The GSSC will be down to nine football-playing schools and Peters says it is possible the league may scrap its divisions rather than trying to add a new team. (from John Harrell Football 5/4/23)

The 2 Hammond schools are probably too big as a 5a enrollment (probably make more sense in the northwest crossroads conference). Maybe East Chicago Central replaces South Central.

Hanover is leaving the GSSC for the NCC after this school year. That will leave them with 8.

Wow. That post looks awfully familiar. Maybe it's because I wrote it.

Probably won't, but it's exactly what SHOULD happen.
