New prairie beats Hobart 15-14 in an incredibly even game. Yards hard to come by. New prairie scored a touchdown with two minutes left from the 8 on a fourth and 2 and then went and got the two point conversion.
That’ll set up a Hanover/new prairie final. Having seen both of them play— it will be interesting. New prairie edge on defense, Hanover on offense. Hobart put up 170 on the ground on NP but for the year the cougars were giving up under 3 ypc. The Andrean/HC score still confuses me — not that Andrean won, but 3-0 really didn’t make sense. That said, New Prairie really has a running back playing QB. My gut says HC beats them.

NP and Hobart was a great game. Really thought Hobart had them in the 4th quarter.
I am kind of surprised that Hobart did not call a TO to get things set up better on the 2pt conversion. It seemed to me that they were kind of caught out of position for that play.
Coulda woulda shoulda.
But all in all a great year for a JV team. The Brickies have a bright future in the next couple years.
