DAC Sectional Championship Predictions
Crown Point 31 Fort Wayne Carroll 17
Valparaiso 21 Merrillville 20
Week 12 Predictions
Crown Point 35 Penn 17 - Crown Point scored exactly as much as I thought they would, Penn didn't, and that's a credit to the Crown Point defense. ON GID, some Penn folks believe their offense isn't very good. Carroll's should be pretty good especially in the passing game, lets see how CP handles that on Friday.
Merrillville 31 Morton 17 - This wasn't even a little bit close. Merrillville couldn't be stopped and Morton struggled to move the ball as well for most of the night. Merrillville looks to beat Valpo in the Post Season for back to back seasons.
Valparaiso 17 Chesterton 10 - Spot on with score differential but I thought there would be less points scored. Regardless, the Vikings are Sectional 10 Champions, again, and Chesterton is still trying to get that 0 Sectional Championships monkey off their back.
Jimbo's DAC Post Season Record: 7-1
Jimbo's DAC Regular Season Record: 38-6

If merrillville is held under 28 I’ll be suprised
Re: DAC Regional Predictions w/ A Twist
So will I but Post Season football is a funny thing. I truly think (may be naïve of me) that Merrillville will FINALLY make it to Lucas Oil this season. I strongly believe IF they hit a road bump, it'll be this Friday despite how highly Sagarin thinks of Lafayette Jeff in comparison to Valpo. Which is why I have made my first "bold" prediction of the Post Season and am taking the Vikings by a point on the road in my above analysis.DACfanatic wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:40 pmJimbo23 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 6:24 pmJimbo's DAC Power Rankings

Cridge, not seeing your reply or maybe I am? I think I see you said something about Merrillville 35 Valpo 7 or 14? Definitely wouldn't surprise me given Valpo's year they've had and how Merrillville is rollin' but we essentially, almost all, said the same thing in 2022. I know I did lol

yes 35-7 or 14. i don't think valpo has the firepower and merrillville defense is a little tougher this year. merrillville didn't have the offense last year and this year the offense is more crisp and maybe balanced
Re: DAC Regional Predictions w/ A Twist
I'd agree with that assessment which is why I refer to my choice as "bold" (probably putting it mildly to be honest). I think the ingredients that you mentioned above combined with the teams that stand in the Pirate's way, you HAVE TO feel like this is Merrillville's best chance to get over the Semi-State hump.cridge wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:28 pmJimbo23 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:03 pmCridge, not seeing your reply or maybe I am? I mean this rivalry game I understand it. Marshall always gives us a game the 2nd time around. And us playing Hammond the last 2 weeks I don’t think helped. It got people healthy but the difference in team play is alot.
Valpo I would think can move ball early.
And as for the other semistate I think Jeff comes through also… but everyone I see is predicting warsaw to win that game. Because supposedly Jeff can’t stop the run
Re: DAC Regional Predictions w/ A Twist
IF Jeff can't stop the run then the Pirates better get ready for "Bart Ball."DACfanatic wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 2:00 pmAnd as for the other semistate I think Jeff comes through also… but everyone I see is predicting warsaw to win that game. Because supposedly Jeff can’t stop the run
