Re: Portage Opening
I'll throw a name into the mix - Demetri Blanco. Stud during his playing career at Andrean and has done a good job the past two years at River Forest. Coached under Mason for almost a decade. Young guy who I think can relate to players and inject some enthusiasm for football in the building.
Re: Portage Opening
Has a pretty sweet deal at RF, but nothing surprises me these days.

A 2 year head coach with half his wins vs Noll, Lake Station, and Bowman. Yep, he's ready for Valpo, Merrillville, and CPscarab527 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 7:53 pmI'll throw a name into the mix - Demetri Blanco. Re: Portage Opening
I agree with Fred Jones. Hes played in a very down GSSC. I feel in a couple of years he will be ready to take on a DAC or NCC job.
Re: Portage Opening
He can only beat who he plays against. Let's not act like RF is a powerhouse or anything. He's already coached in the NCC and DAC under Mason. I mean he's had more success in his career than the guy Portage just got rid of.Fred Jones field wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 9:35 pmA 2 year head coach with half his wins vs Noll, Lake Station, and Bowman. I agree with you. I rather he hold off until a better opening pops up for him like City when Mason leaves in a year or two.

Yeah that would probably be a better ideaBallout595922 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 6:33 pmI agree with you. I rather he hold off until a better opening pops up for him like City when Mason leaves in a year or two.

Re: Portage Opening
Doing some digging…he’s been the O.C. at Portage for the past 2 years. They have averaged about 11.5 points a game against DAC teams the past 2 years he’s been there. Maybe there’s something I’m missing?Ballout595922 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 8:29 pmThis just in!! Heard that the OC I think his name is Tony K?
