Yeah valpo and mville shouldnt really be playing Andrean. Mville I get a little more since it is like a backyard game. But they really get nothing from that game.

I'm not aware of whatever you're referring to that sheds positive news on the game. That's great and all, but it does nothing for preparing Crown Point for a chance at a 6A Title appearance. The team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year was down by about 35 at the half against Cathedral. I was at the Zionsville/Pike game on Friday. Though neither is a threat to win 6A they're both big, fast, talented, and very well coached. We can say the same about Crown Point, but are they just another Zionsville or are they a 6A contender? It's hard to prepare yourself or grow when you're not truly tested.Dann Ellenwood wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 2:27 pmMuch more to the CP/Taft game than just a "normal OOC opponent". Should be quite a fun and uplifting night in CP this Friday. Best wishes to both teams.Boilernation wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 11:38 amTaft has NEVER won an Illinois HS playoff game in football. This game shouldn't be a problem for Crown Point if they're seriously a contender for the 6A North. Frankly, Taft and Lowell (I know it's a HUGE rivalry game) were a complete waste of OOC scheduling for the 'Dogs. They should have went the same route the 6A Fort Wayne schools are going now that the SAC isn't locked into Conference only play and get some Indy teams on their schedule. Homestead and Carroll's first 2 games are both against Indy teams.DACfanatic wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 12:31 am
I don’t know much about taft. I just did that off last meeting prediction. Uhhh merrillville/Cp will be interesting..
Cp struggled with mobility on defense. And the mobile QB is a game changer. But I’m not sure merrillville will stop CP either in the secondary
It has been well documented on CP Football's social media pages.

May wanna check your stats. Taft was in the semifinals like 2-3 years ago. Just saying. And they win almost 1 playoff game a yearBoilernation wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 11:38 amTaft has NEVER won an Illinois HS playoff game in football. I agree with power rankings but I was a tad more impressed by merrillville with the back up QB. He is phenomenal! And the fact they ran for almost 400 yards with 3 people that’s cool! But I disagree with crown point losing. We are the top team in DAC and we will beat taft by 17 and next week we’ll merrillville is taking that L

Merrillville will be dropping Andrean in 2 years when Andrean moves to Winfield. And in return crown point will have Andrean on the schedule for 10 years or so.

Are you referring to the Chicago Public League playoffs? You are if you’re looking at MaxPreps. They are historically 0-9 in the Illinois high school playoffs. Chicago Public League playoffs have no bearing on the State Tournament.DACfanatic wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 8:28 pmMay wanna check your stats. Taft was in the semifinals like 2-3 years ago. I just checked MaxPreps. The “playoff” wins are from the Chicago Public League playoffs. In one recent year you’ll see they lost to Huntley in their first State playoff game and then started playing in the CPL playoff.Boilernation wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 10:21 pmAre you referring to the Chicago Public League playoffs? Re: My DAC week 2 power rankings and preview/predictions
Keeping it real:
-With over 3,000 kids and some new "recruits," CP and Lowell need to seriously consider pausing the rivalry until the talent/enrollment disparity isn't so great. Nothing better than a David vs. Goliath story, but CP beats Lowell for the foreseeable future.
-CP needs to pick up a game against an Illinois Catholic league or Indy 6A mega. They looked great against an outgunned Lowell team, but I don't think they yet possess the team speed to compete with the Indy schools. A Region 6A title is not happening anytime soon IMO.

We don’t possess the speed the compete with the Indy schools AMD honestly we struggle with merrillville and Michigan city.
Only reason we beat merrillville last year was they made a mistake late to turn the ball over. Otherwise they scored at will on us. But they couldn’t stop our run either with our big O line. I think you replay that game Merrillville wins 8/10 times.
I expect next weeks game to be tight. We are throwing a lot now. But their QB is fast as F***. We will have an issue with that

Crown Point doesn't have the speed to play with Merrillvile / Michigan City and making excuses for beating Merrillville? Hmmmm, where have I heard that before?CPbulldogs2024 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 7:20 pmwarrior wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 4:09 pmKeeping it real:
